How many photographers will be there to take photos on my wedding day?

I shot my first couple ever back in 2013, started second-shooting at weddings in 2016, and shot my first solo wedding in 2018! What a journey it has been!

That depends! We will have an in depth conversation on the scope of your wedding/elopement and determine that based on the size and geography of the day. We will determine what works best with your day to make sure we don't miss a moment. If two photographers are needed, you'll get to meet my wonderful partner Robert!

This may change from year to year, but currently my cap for 2023 is 3 (THREE!!!!) weddings. I do this so I can be fully present with my clients and give them the best experience possible. This limited number allows me to give my clients thoughtful images, as well as quick turn around so you aren’t waiting months to see your photos!

I don’t like to put a specific number on this because it varies based on type/length of shoot, but rest assured that you will get PLENTY of photos back from me. While some photographers have a cutoff as to how many photos they will deliver and will charge extra for anything above that, I believe in giving you all the memories from our time together.

Since I take on a limited amount of shoots per year, my turnaround time is pretty quick! Typically I deliver weddings in five weeks or less, and photo sessions in three weeks or less. And you better keep your phone on you after our shoot because I ALWAYS send a sneak peak within 48 hours… I can’t help it, I am too excited!

You better believe it! I remember what it was like to be planning my wedding and will go over in great detail the timeline for your special day about 3-4 weeks before your wedding so you have time to distribute that timeline to your wedding day VIPs!

While I am happy to touch up skin blemishes and bruises, I believe in promoting healthy body images and will not photoshop any of my photos to make them look unnatural. And no - I take great pride on my creative work and the editing process is a huge part of that. I only provide edited photos to my clients. If you get your photos back from me and feel like you are missing a moment from our shoot, let me know asap so I can go back and make sure I get that photo to you. If there’s a certain photo you’d love to see in black and white, let me know! I promise it will look better if you get it from me than it will if you put it through a photo editing app on your phone!

I love to travel. Seriously. It’s kind of my favorite thing. I don’t charge a set fee for travel on top of your session cost. I'm not in it for the extra $. I want to be there for you and make it work for you too! Each shoot is different, and I look at those on a case-by-case basis. My travel fees are there to cover my flights, lodging, rental car, and fuel. That’s it. I am also down to crash in someone’s spare room, Airstream, or whatever! I'm not high maintenance - I promise.

I love capturing real relationships and interactions! I will never do any work that looks super posed and inauthentic, and I do not work in a photography studio in controlled conditions. Natural light, natural life is my philosophy. Having said that, I LOVE capturing important moments for my clients. Getting engaged? Having a baby? Getting the family together for a special event? I am THERE for it.
